The majority of patients feel little to no pain during the procedure. However, there is no guaranteed level of comfort.
LASIK risks
Although most people do not experience serious LASIK complications, the procedure may result in dry eyes; the possible need for glasses or contacts after the procedure; visual symptoms including halos, glare, starbursts and double vision; and loss of vision. While the risks of these visual symptoms exist keep in mind that complications are rare events.3
